According to the news sources at THE METRO, Chelsea have got an offer from Roma to exchange out of form striker Fernando Torres with Mattia Destro.
The Blues are understood to be prepared to loan Torres to Roma for the season as part of a deal to take Destro, one of Europe’s most coveted strikers, to Stamford Bridge.Torres has scored just 20 goals in 110 Premier League games for Chelsea since joining from Liverpool for £50m in 2011.
Despite scoring some important goals for the Blues, Torres is viewed by many to have flopped at Stamford Bridge.Destro, 23, scored 13 goals for Roma in Serie A last season and is believed to be worth around £20m.The Times reports that Roma are interested in signing Torres if the clubs can reach an agreement over the Spain star’s £180,000-a-week wages.
