Petr Cech may leave Chelsea in Summer

Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech has reiterated his desire to leave the club this summer after falling down the pecking order with Thibaut Courtois taking the position between the sticks at Stamford Bridge.
The Czech international has been linked with a move to rivals Arsenal, but said that any talk of a potential move must wait until the summer after he’s had a meeting with Jose Mourinho.
One thing Cech is sure of however, is that he will not accept a season like the one he’s currently enduring.
“I don’t know what the club’s idea will be. It looks like it works well with me and Thibaut as a duo,” he told Idnes newspaper (via Sky Sports).
“But that can work for one season only. I don’t want another one like this. There always will be speculation, I leave it for the summer.”
Despite not wanting to get involved in any speculation, Cech couldn’t hide that a possible to Real Madrid would interest him. When asked about the Spanish giants, Cech replied: “When a specific offer comes I will consider it. There are offers one cannot turn down.”

Mourinho taught me so much at Chelsea - Torres

Torres ended a disappointing three-year stay at Stamford Bridge last month by agreeing to join AC Milan on loan for the final two years of his contract, where he will replace the departed Mario Balotelli.

Mourinho frequently criticised Torres and fellow strikers Samuel Eto'o and Demba Ba last season and the lack of a reliable goalscorer was widely perceived to be the main reason why Chelsea fell short in the Premier League title race.

The Spaniard scored just 46 goals in 172 games for the Blues after joining for €62 million from Liverpool in January 2011 and netted 12 times last term under Mourinho, but is adamant he enjoyed a productive working relationship with the Special One.

"I had a professional relationship with him," Torres told reporters. "I learned so much.

"When I told him that I was going to Milan he wished me good luck, and he told me about the passion for football that is here.

"I wish him all the best, as he has done with me."

Milan CEO Adriano Galliani admitted it was "better late than never" to have signed the striker after he failed to tempt him to San Siro in 2004.

"Fernando is an incredible champion," he said. "He has won everything there is possible to win.

"Fernando began his career in Madrid, and even then it was clear that he was something special.

"We tried to get him in 2004, but that did not go ahead. But it's better late than never! We are happy to have him here and I'm sure he will do well."

Remy Completes Chelsea Signing

The France international striker has signed a four-year contract. The 27-year-old played in the Premier League for Newcastle last season while on loan from QPR. He returned to Loftus Road in the summer.
On signing for the Blues, he said: 'I feel very happy and very proud. When I heard Chelsea wanted to sign me I said "let's go" straight away because they are one of the best clubs in the world. I remember the amazing atmosphere at Stamford Bridge when I played there for Marseille and I can't wait to play for the first time in front of my new fans.'
Remy, who is 6ft tall, is renowned for his pace, eye for goal and a versatility which has also allowed him to succeed in wide positions.
He is one of an illustrious list of players to have come through Lyon’s youth academy. He made his first-team debut for his home-town club in 2006 and played for them during two Ligue 1 title-winning seasons, as well as experiencing the Champions League.
However, it was at Nice, following a loan spell at Lens, where the young Remy truly began to build his reputation.
The goals flowed fast, earning a move along the south coast to Marseille, signed by former Chelsea player and current France manager Didier Deschamps in August 2010. He scored his first Champions League goals during his opening season for Marseille and played in two group games against Chelsea. He was their top league scorer with 15 goals in 2010/11 as well as finding the net for the first time for France that season, having made his international debut in June 2009.
With Remy having averaged almost a goal every two games during two and a half years at Marseille, the Premier League came calling in January 2013 and he scored on his QPR debut at West Ham. Of his six goals in 14 games before the end of that campaign, it was a first-time smash from outside the area against Wigan that most caught the eye. However with Rangers relegated from the top flight, he was loaned for 2013/14 to Newcastle.
A goal against Chelsea at St James’ Park in November was one of 14 he scored in the Premier League last season, helping to earn a place in France’s squad for Brazil in the summer, where he made two substitute appearances.
He played in QPR’s first two league games this season but not in their Capital One Cup defeat by Burton Albion, so remains eligible to play for Chelsea in all competitions.

Mourinho says Petr Cech will get chance as season will proceed

After starting Thibaut Courtois against Burnley and benching Petr Cech, there is doubt in everyone's mind about the future career of Petr Cech. Thibaut Courtois who is young, energetic and one of the best keeper in the world has shown his confidence against Burnley. He is happy to be Mourinho's first choice.

Since 2004 Petr Cech has became the number one for Chelsea. Looking at his confidence and dedication towards Chelsea it can be seen that he is happy to fight for number one spot. He is not happy to be benched and will fight for number one spot;

Recently Jose Mourinho admitted that Petr Cech will get chance as season proceed. According to Portugese its just starting of the season and the time will come where we have to play 2-3 games in a week. At that time it will be easier to make change. He is very happy with the reaction shown by Petr Cech after being benched for the first time since 2004 after his arrival at Stamford Bridge. Mourinho is happy to deal with this trouble. He prefer to call this trouble as sweet trouble where he has two best keepers in the world in his squad. He also praised Mark Schwarger. Mourinho thinks Mark is also one of the best goal keeper. Mark who is 43 and recently retired from the international football is happy to be at chelsea and ready to play any role give by manager.

So as far as the future carrer of Petr Cech, Mourinho believes he will be staying at bridge and will fight for the number one spot with Courtois.

Match Preview:Chelsea Vs Leicester City

After having started the 2014-2015 season in style, Chelsea gear up for their first home match on Saturday against yet another newly promoted side, Leicester City. Last time these two sides met was in 2012 in the FA Cup quarter final with Chelsea running out 5-2 winners.
The last match for Chelsea was all about seeing how the new signings would fare. Needless to say, Thibaut Courtois, Cesc Fabregas and Diego Costa hit the ground running. Although Courtois will be disappointed not to have a clean sheet in his league debut, he was faultless for Burnley’s only goal. Throughout the match Courtois commanded his area and was accurate with his distribution, even pulled off a fine save at full stretch from Arfield.
Costa scored his first ever Premier League goal as Chelsea equalised four minutes after going a goal down, while Fabregas ran the show for the whole ninety minutes, playing a part in the first goal and providing direct assists for the next two. The second goal in particular was something special, a culmination of twenty passes, with Fabregas seeing the run of Schurrle and providing him with an exquisite first-time cushioned ball which Schurrle converted with his first touch.
Andre Schurrle was full of running, full of energy. He looked to have brought along his world cup form to the Premier League. His one-touch side footed finish oozed confidence. Also, Eden Hazard showed his dribbling ability, with quite a few mazy runs through defenders, one of which played a part in the second goal.
Leicester City announced their arrival in the Premier League with a 2-2 draw against Everton. Manager Nigel Pearson will be quite encouraged by his side’s display against the Toffees and will be confident his side have what it takes to pull off an upset early on in the season. While none of the Chelsea players have a fitness issue, a number of Leicester players are doubts for the game including Danny Drinkwater, Marc Albrighton and Jamie Vardy, while Mathhew Upson is sidelined with a foot injury. Chelsea have won their last six matches against Leicester City scoring twenty goals.
Predicted Starting Line-up: Courtois; Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry, Azpilicueta; Matic, Fabregas; Oscar, Schurrle, Hazard; Costa.
Date/time: Saturday, August 23, 2014 at 15:00 pm BST, 7:30 pm IST.
Venue: Stamford Bridge, London, England. Capacity 41,837.
Prediction: Chelsea 2-0 Leicester City

Possible starting XI against Leicester city

Chelsea are coming off of a spectacular win against Burnley. This weekend they face Premier League newcomers Leicester City.
Formation: 4-2-3-1
Last week’s game verified Jose Mourinho’s choice to stick with last season’s previous formation. With the addition of new players, this was always at question but it is clear now.
Goalkeeper: Thibaut Courtois
The most highly anticipated position in the Chelsea lineup was decided last week when the Belgian was unofficially named the starting goalkeeper for this upcoming season. Veteran Petr ?ech has finally been outmatched by a taller, younger, and more skilled keeper. The ‘big change’ in Chelsea is the end of the Cech era, and the beginning of Courtois’.
Left Back: Filipe Luis
Ashley Cole is no longer an option at Chelsea, which leaves Luis as the only left footed defender at Chelsea. Cesar Azpilicueta, the most reliable player at Chelsea can virtually fill in any position, will likely be playing on the right.
Center Backs: Gary Cahill and Kurt Zouma
John Terry, 33, is reaching the end of his career in which he can play a complete season. The addition of Kurt Zouma makes the Chelsea defense look much more sustainable than last season.
Right Back: Cesar Azpilicueta
Azpilicueta will be given the right to play on the right side, where he can use his right foot to swing in crosses. On the left, he was handicapped, but now he is free to roam ahead.
Center Defensive Midfielders: Cesc Fabregas and Nemanja Matic
Matic and Fabregas made an excellent pair last game. Fabregas’ reintroduction to the Premier League stole the show with a fabulous assist to Andre Schurrle. Chelsea’s midfield is arguably the best in the world.
Right Attacking Midfielder: Eden Hazard
The Belgian wizard showed some promise in last week’s game after a disappointing World Cup. His last goal in the Premier League was in late March and he will be looking to get on the score sheet as soon as possible.
Center Attacking Midfielder: Oscar
Oscar showed in the World Cup and in the last game that he is not afraid to take a shot at goal. Since the departure of Juan Mata to Manchester United last year, Mourinho has fully trusted Oscar to fill the void.
Right Attacking Midfield: Willian
The Brazilian will join Oscar against Leicester City. After coming on as a sub for Schurrle in the previous game, he will be looking to add pace and skill to the game.
Striker: Diego Costa
Costa’s first game in the Premier League opened up his goal account. He showed excellent movement, especially when Didier Drogba was included in the game.
